This coffee house/Brewery is located in the heart of downtown Alton, Illinois. This is a two story lounge/cafe. The space was originally an old bank that closed in the 1980’s with authentic Bank structures as a back drop.
As you walk in the front door, you are greeted by a loft type feel with the smells of coffee from the espresso machines. The walls are a thick concrete which keeps sound from echoing. Across the room, you will find the Barista counter where you can order a variety of coffee, latte’s, Frappuccino‘s, and pastries for the sweet tooth’s out there.
The top drink at Germania Brew Haus is called the GBH. It is a white mocha drizzled with caramel sauce.
You will also find a self-serve craft beer station to enjoy. There are many seating areas (couches, bar tops, tables, etc.) to relax or enjoy a board game with friends or family.
As you head up to the second level, you will immediately run into a room with more privacy to do work on the free WiFi, meet a friend, or work on Art. Heading down the hall, there is a second room, much more open, and bright as it brings in natural day light from the large windows. This room is perfect for business conferences or one on one business meetings. You will then be lead outdoors onto a patio overlooking the Mississippi River and the Clark Bridge with panoramic views.
This is a perfect place for all ages to fulfill any goal an individual has in mind.
